Editorial policy

Our standards for accuracy, sourcing and independence.

AI-Portal explains artificial intelligence for people who are not specialists. We aim to be accurate, useful and fair, and a named editor is responsible for everything we publish.

Who we are

AI-Portal is an independent publication owned by Davide Serra, based in Italy. Davide Serra is also our editor and approves every article before it goes live. Contact: info@ai-portal.si.

What we cover

How AI works, how to use it, how it affects work, school, health, money and rights, and the debate about more powerful future systems, including the US government's "super intelligence" terminology.

Standards

  • Every factual claim links to a source we have read. We prefer primary sources: research papers, official documents, company announcements and court or regulatory filings.
  • We separate fact from opinion. Opinion is labelled "Our take" or published as a signed column.
  • We test products ourselves before recommending them, and say what we tested and for how long.
  • We do not publish rumours as fact. Unconfirmed reports are labelled as such, with the source named.
  • We cover risks and benefits in proportion to the evidence.

Independence

No company pays for coverage or sees an article before publication. Sponsored content, if we ever publish it, is labelled "Sponsored" at the top and kept out of our news and reviews. Affiliate links are disclosed on the page where they appear. We list any relationship our editors have with companies we cover.

Updates

Evergreen guides and glossary entries are reviewed at least every six months, and the "Updated" date changes only when the content does.
